Industrial Hygiene

TriAD offers multiple industrial hygiene services, including OSHA-compliant personal air monitoring for employees that have potential exposure to respirable hazards in the workforce. In most cases, these studies include equipping individual workers with a personal air sampling pump and the appropriate sampling media to be worn on the worker during typical work activities. The sample will be collected for the duration of the work activities and analytical results will be calculated for an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA). Analytical data will indicate whether additional precautions need to be taken, depending on the comparison of the results to the specific action level and permissible exposure level (PEL). The findings are then documented in a comprehensive report.

OSHA-compliant noise exposure studies are also provided by TriAD. Employers are required to implement a hearing conservation program if employees are exposed to a noise level at or above 85 A-weighted decibels (dBA) for an 8-hour TWA. If employees are exposed to noise levels of 90 dBA or higher for an 8-hour TWA, then hearing protection is required. To determine if a hearing conservation program should be implemented or if additional testing is needed to add to an existing hearing conservation program, we can conduct a noise exposure study. The study will utilize noise dosimeters worn by employees during their typical work activities. Samples will be collected for the duration of the work activities and results will be calculated for an 8-hour TWA. Study results are evaluated and included in a comprehensive report.
